The $4 billion, 37-gate facility at LaGuardia Airport is a transformation of the hub into a completely rebuilt, 21st-century airport marking  Delta’s largest airport investment in its history.  The multi-year, long awaited terminal replacement and expansion project has been heralded as “stunning”, a term that is also reflective of the determination, commitment and success of the Delta Airlines project team.  The team continuously met and exceeded ever increasing challenges including  the added complexity of being built on an accelerated schedule through the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The HeadHouse infrastructure feeds the new gleaming terminal spanning 1.35 million square feet. Included are four concourses with 37 gates and ticket counters,  baggage carousel facilities, several retail concessions spaces, a new Delta SkyClub and a 3,000 car parking garage.  Turner Construction, a leader in transportation and aviation construction, was responsible for leading the team in delivering the sustainable and scalable technology befitting an airport of the future. Adco was proud to be a Turner trade partner providing the fabrication and installation of the Structured Cabling System as well as the installation of the state of the Electronic Security System for the selected technology solutions.  Working in collaboration with our client and the design team, we provided the modeling, coordination, furnishing and installation of the fully functional low voltage systems for the hub of operations.  This includes security, DAS, WIFI and Way finding that are among the industry’s most innovative and efficient and interface with the TSA and the PA/NYNJ.
