A one million square foot distribution facility located immediately inside the New York City border allows for the fastest last-mile fulfillment access possible and serves this densely populated area. This expansive center is located in a tight urban setting, requiring planning that maximized staging, logistics, and operations.
The collaborative team was led by one of the industry’s leading supply chain automation software and system suppliers. With extensive experience among the end-user stakeholders in supporting the lifecycle services, customer interface, shipping, storage, receiving, transport and picking, this top-tier project team approach enabled a collaborative environment where the designers and engineers worked seamlessly together with Adco’s engineers, project management, and field operations.
Adco brought the design team’s state-of-the-art multi-story five-mile long conveyor system to life on a fast-track installation schedule. The pre-construction planning allowed for an accelerated installation schedule necessary to support the end user’s critical holiday production schedule.
